Friday, May 17, 2019 - This bottle was decanted and consumed leisurely allowing it to further open up. It definitely showed signs of maturity but the color was good and its aroma was also good. The palate showed a bit of oxidation but not to much. There was still a fair amount of fruit remaining and the tannins were balanced with the fruit. All in all a fun experience. There is no reason to hold this vintage longer except for curiosity and scientific experimentation.
