Wednesday, December 6, 2017 - Château Lynch-Bages Vertical Dinner (San Diego, California): While not sourced from my own cellar, this particular bottle delivered a well-preserved, deep garnet specimen. Plum, mulling spice, cigar box, cedar and bay leaf aromas precede a full-bodied, freshly acidic, seamlessly alcoholic (12.5%) palate. The flavors mirror the nose and the middle is solid. The lengthy finish carries some tannic grip. Comparably cellared bottles should provide pleasure for several more years. Drink now-2025.
