Thursday, May 7, 2015 - When a wine can repeat excellence on more than one occasion, that is a big gate of success for me to judge greatness. And when the same wine poured blind can illicit similar responses from others, than it's further testament that something really high class is at work in the bottle. I drank this wine again last night, with Brig Campbell at the table (he has the previous note in CT), and concur with his enthusiasm. Last night's bottle (served blind) was in total as good as the one I wrote up from February. Perfumed, beautiful balance, lots of cherry fruit and acidity, then an underpinning of mineral structure. Just an awesome showing. I would expect this wine to finish as one of my contenders for WOTY in 2015, given how it has now showed twice. The real deal, man.
