Thursday, December 18, 2014 - Decanted for 2 hrs. Trasparent almost electric garnet. Aromas showed bright red cherries, pomegranate, cranberries, some sous bois and just the barest hint of alcohol. On palate, tart cherries, cranberries, minerals with a bit of earth and bark. Acidity is quite high, reminiscent more of Burgundy than CA. Nice moderate length in finish. 91 on day 1 On day 2, gained some more weight. Fruit is more on black spectrum rather than red. Less lithe than yesterday. Still really enjoyable 90. For <$30, this is a bargain as CA pinots go.
