Tuesday, March 28, 2023 - 3 years since my last sound bottle, and 20 years in, this is really hitting its prime drinking window. Nose is sweet and alluring, perfumed in an almost Margaux way, along with deeper blackcurrant and leather notes. Palate is saturated with black plum fruit and cassis, verging into green pepper/menthol territory, with nice inner mouth perfume fanning out into cedar, blonde tobacco, and resolving tannins. Long finish. Nothing roasted here, but definitely a riper vintage for S-M
