Monday, May 15, 2023 - Popped and poured. This is quite nice; a 20-year old from the sweet, ripe 2003 vintage. This is not too sweet, it is rather nicely restrained and has nice balance. Very dark color with only a touch of browning at the rim. Nice soft red fruit in the nose, with hints of cocoa. Medium body in the mouth, smooth, ripe, with good fruit. I wouldn't call it a "star" of the vintage, but I do believe this has aged very well. This can still be purhased for $80; pretty amazing when you consider its age. Nice find for me in 2023. 4-12-16-7: 89/100
