Saturday, January 29, 2011 - Notes from a magnum bottle, I bought from London.
Very deep ruby color, (almost black), with some gray hues.
Mute nose at the beginning, dominated by scents of cooked meats, earth and mushrooms.
After aeration reveals aromas of black forest fruits and vanilla.
Full bodied with well integrated tannins, and flavors of wild cherries, maraschino, cedar, chocolate, meats, and spices.
Very persistent aftertaste.
Impressive wine, ready to drink now, or to keep it for at least 10 more years.
