Wednesday, May 23, 2012 - Still somewhat closed, acid pronounced, but the fruit has emerged considerably. Cassissy cabernet and remarkably so. A wonderfully precise and incisive example of pure cabernet flavors. This is easily better than many of the more highly ranked estates of the upper Medoc in 2003. And to me, almost the proverbial textbook example of what highly skewed cabernet Bordeaux tastes like. As distinctive in its way as say Rausan Segla in its way. I'm sure I'll be rating this higher in the future.
