Friday, April 12, 2013 - I was in the mood for a Bordeaux and at the 10-year mark decided to decant and drink this '03. Even the first sip prior to decanting was good marked by smooth tannins and fruit. We then consumed this over the evening, prior, during and after dinner and it delivered that classic mature BdX with the leather, cigar box notes on the nose and dried fruit and spice on the palate with a medium finish. No harshness at all and while it seems like it could stay at this level for a long while not sure it would improve any.
