Saturday, April 12, 2014 - This wine really hit its stride after about 1hr and half. Great aromas of classical Bordeaux, including barnyard, earth, black licorice, some subtle fruit action. Great mouth feel, with notes of tobacco, green pepper, asparagus, more earth, then some of the ripe black fruits, black licorice. Complex wine, that is well balanced, and impressively rich mid-palate that followed into a mouth staining inky finish which I enjoyed quite a bit. The finish also contained a hefty amount of earth, soil, barnyard action. Great tannins, and I think this wine is really superb right now, could easily hold for more years, but I like this where its at. Very different from a lot of others from this hot vintage in 03', this is much more classic in style, but still a fresh and nice little turbo charged mid palate.

Thanks to fellow CT contributor Sevencircles for this recommendation (can't quit give it the score of the 03' Cos, but much closer than I expected and great QPR - excellent recommendation, loved it).
