Wednesday, April 23, 2014 - I see a good bit of potential in this wine. This was the first bottle of a case (my first futures purchase ever [thanks Leo and Lonny]) and I intend to string it out. Initially on the nose there was pencil lead and some cedar. With decanting in a 375 decanter I picked up juicy blackberry on the palate and occasional flashes of cherry, smoke, and pepper. After an hour or so the tannins started to show and demonstrate that this wine has many years yet to go. We had this with NY strip.
