Monday, January 23, 2006 - Tasted with a pork roast stuffed with prunes and cooked also with mango and ginger. First, impressed with aromas, still oak derived, but that is no surprise for such an early taste, but also lovely pure cassis and red cherry skin flavors. A good granular tannic texture, with much structure to the palate, suggesting a wine that has a long way to go. Yes, concentrated, too, but no heaviness/alcohol and no raisin-like aromas/flavors sometimes encountered in the 2003s. Very nice.
