Tuesday, December 1, 2015 - Initially (after 1 hour of decanting), this comes across not at all like one might expect from a 2003. Graphite, dark cherry, and ripe black fruit, with a slight bit of roasted, smoky fruit on the palate. Light tannin and reasonable acid. Very enjoyable. Started to fade after another hour, though, with a more clipped finish; not sure why.
