Thursday, January 5, 2017 - An even better showing than the bottle I had a year or so ago. A core of rich red and dark berried fruit framed by earth, cedar, tobacco, and faint herbal notes - the Sociando green character isn't as vivid here, but this is really classic, elegant Bordeaux showing none of the signs of overripeness/heat/etc I'd expect from many 03s. There's a surprisingly bright spine of acidity beneath alongside the grainy tannin, and this is drinking very nicely with some time in the decanter, although with lots of time ahead.
