Sunday, December 24, 2017 - 2nd of 36, decanted an hour, perfect cork and level, as Thursday's bottle but drunk against the 86 and 96; although the 86 was WOTN and the unready 96 showed the qualities of a truly great vintage, I think this wine has the potential to be the best of the three, as the winemaking seems to be a step up on even the 96. It will be interesting in a couple of years to broach the as yet unready 2000 in this company! Currently VGI (17).
