Sunday, February 17, 2019 - Drank next to the 1990 and 2015 over two days. Closed and tight showing nothing on the nose and little on the palette day one. The wine came to life on day two with powerful floral and ripe red fruit filling the room, highlighted by gravel and iron. Medium bodied with good structure and a crisp bite of acidity. Sour cherries, graphite, iron and a touch of bell pepper. None of the barnyard mustiness that was showing in the 1990. This wine is still youthful and vibrant with a lot of fruit, the only thing holding it back is the short finish. It really opened up on day two, and should continue to get better over the next few years.
