Saturday, August 7, 2021 - Very dark saturated ink. Drank over 3 days. Day 1: Complex nose of black tar and black fruits, cigar box. Powerful palate, deep and complex blackened flavors. Very long. Day 2: Same with more complexity, salinity emerging, aromas of wet gravels. Mouth is more refined and with perfect balance and longer finish. Day 3: floral aromas on the nose, very fine. Leaner, still showing the depth of flavors and lenght, but ending with dry mouth coating tannins. Terrific intensity of flavors and lenght day 1 to 3 ! This beauty could compete in blind tasting with any Medoc 2nd growth or 1st growth. Needs 10 yrs of cellaring or 18 hours of decant. In very hot years, Sociando like some St Estephe, can be really stunning.
