Monday, November 1, 2021 - 13% alcohol. Very good long cork with no wine penetration. Decanted an hour ahead. The colour is deep with minimal thinning and no bricking at the edge of the rim.
Very full nose with dark fruit and some inky aromas (in a pleasant way). The mouth is satisfyingly juicy with good grip in spite of the resolved tannins; more red fruited than the nose, with even some ripe red pepper if you look hard for it. Certainly nothing remotely cooked or raisiny here. Maybe what is missing is a bit of extra length (and this is where yesterday's Ducru-B would score).
Very good overall.
