Thursday, November 4, 2021 - This has forced me to be kinder to 2003 and restrain my prejudice. A delicious claret, that if not entirely classical, has those elements dialled up in a 2009-like style. Certainly belies its age, with plenty of intense blackcurrant fruit and with sandalwood and violet perfume. Creamy and dense on the palate, there is quite a grip here, with plenty of power and structure. Definitely has further to go, but a pleasant youthful maturity now.
