Saturday, January 16, 2016 - Drank at Edi and the Wolf. Really interesting bottle of wine. Biodynamic produced St. Laurent. Pretty funky on initial pop and pour with some strong earthy and musky notes and some dark spicy fruit. Slightly acidic and tart on the palate. After a little while of being open and sitting in the glass, the wine smoothed out a bit and most of the funk blew off leaving the spicy dark fruit behind. Medium+ acidity, medium tannins, medium- bodied with a slightly tart finish. Definitely more of a food wine and paired well with the dishes we had.
