Friday, April 17, 2015 - The color is still holding very well with only a very slight noticeable bricking just starting to happen. Beef bullion and tar on the nose. Bright acidic bing cherries, smoke, graphite, and with some drying tannins which shows up on the finish. Quite enjoyable and very different from more current versions of this, as this is more lighter bodied. On a nice plateau but I don't see them getting better with further aging. A real treat to try an older Douro wine I've never had before.
