Friday, June 8, 2018 - Medium deep to deep maroon - nice whiff of saddle leather on the nose - plum, blackcurrant, bramble and sweet pipe tobacco - palate is bright, juicy, nice acidity, a bit of tannin still - black fruits, tobacco, leather - even some earthy, tapenade notes - really quite delish. Recognizably Euro, we haven't had a good N Rhone for a while, and my initial reaction was "Aaah" - elegance, sense of place - very nice. No rush.
