Tuesday, May 30, 2017 - Tuesday Night Double Blind $50+ (Alpharetta, GA): Dark maroon core with dull rim; white pepper, cedar, incense, aged, a certain brightness and lift to the wine, root vegetables, underbrush, bacon fat, bay leaf, sous bois, more tart cherry and framboise, aged- seemed old but well stored, also served at great cooler temperature, olive, mushroom, old school, Hermitage, Chave- called '96, at an age where the grape really shines; this bottle seemed like the wine will not improving much more in cellar outside of texture; sexy and delicious.
