Monday, November 4, 2019 - Monday night heaters (Chicago, IL): #6753. Yeah, that's the stuff. The nose was initially slightly reticent, but it just expanded in complexity and breadth over the course of the evening. Silky elegance with a beautiful balance of red and black fruit in a perfectly mature example of Hermitage. Slightly polished in the way Chave can be, but with the thinner vintage, it actually balances out very nicely. Racy acidity, complex, and layered. One of the best drinking Chaves right now.
