Saturday, September 12, 2020 - This was given a minimal decant, but I didn't think this was at all in a great place to drink with limited air. Somewhat angular and with the oak poking out, this felt more like a Jaboulet to me than a Chave (this is not a complement). For 2004, a vintage that is otherwise drinking phenomenally right now in the northern Rhone, this was a letdown. Post 99 Chave continues to disappoint.
