Sunday, December 6, 2020 - It has taken herculean patience on my part to not open any bottles since my last one a few years ago. But hey, it's 2020, and with all that's happened, it seems silly (to me, anyway) to engage in petty hoarding of a fruity beverage drink. Patience is so last decade haha! And with this wine, it's about time anyway. With a refined floral nose speckled with notes of toast, black berries and pipe ash, it has matured nicely. The rim has lightened, as has the body, which has lost some of its past inkiness. The fruit is calmly settled, the tannin has taken a seat in the back row, and what we have now is layers of velvety flavor that roll on in a long and gentle finish. I have a few more bottles, and I'm sure they won't last long!
