Saturday, January 30, 2021 - Lovely nose of violets, lavander, dried leaves, slight smoke, and very pretty floral cornucopia. Not the heaviest of Chave but very suave and persistent. The palate still has a little bit of tannins, great acidity and medium mouthfeel. Dark fruit flavors like blackberry, plum and black cherry, but it also has a lot of savory and mineral characteristics. Dried flowers, leather, and a really nice slight saline minerality are quite prominent on the palate. Gorgeous balance as it floats in your mouth, like a really nice Burgundy, iron fist in a velvet glove.
