Friday, April 1, 2022 - Part of a tasting dinner with colleagues.
from magnum:
Gorgeous blood ruby appearance, little signs of maturity.
Pretty spicy nose. Savoury at first, then sweeter, with wood (and exotic woods), fragrant notes of tea, brambles (a little leaf), feels plenty together and nicely concentrated. The palate is round, very juicy and verging on tart in parts. Very good energy. Stimulating, some tightness and tension. Tannins are very fine thought still a touch of grip, and mineral too. Quite savoury second half, showing very good intensity, and plenty of structure.
Attractive but general feeling is this will improve.
