Friday, February 11, 2011 - Consumed after Schaefers 2011 Warehouse Sale; yes, it is big and rich but without being too candied or syrupy and it is working well - no oak or alcohol (although it's there) getting in the way. It's the Australian shiraz version of Clio...you are gonna get what you expected. Some of the tasting notes surprise me, almost as though people had no idea of the nature/history of this wine, "oh no, someone substituted #9 for my sauvignon blanc." Bash "The Boxer" for the glycerine taste and being out of balance, but not here.
