Community Tasting Note

Saturday, March 14, 2020 - Interesting to retaste after initial tasting in 2014 at the winery. Now in 2020, I first decanted this for 2 hours, and thought this:
“Has not aged as well as I thought. Maybe in an awkward in-between phase and will improve in another 5 years? Disappointing. Still decent, but just not impressive or yummy. Tannins still leathery but the fruit didn't open up much. Paired with braised spare ribs. Will hold my other bottles for a while. 91 points.”

AND THEN, 24 HOURS LATER IN A DECANTER:
Amazing! Fruit really came out, bright cherry notes now matching the unchanged tannins. Not a hint of oxidation!! Really enjoyable. I’m sure will age well another 10+ years.
