Friday, February 20, 2015 - Tasted blind. Clear, day bright, pale straw with green hues and some rim variation. Light staining on the medium legs. The nose is clean, youthful and intense, with aromas of citrus and grass, and vegetal aromas of green pepper, jalapeño and cabbage. Some organic, potting soil aromas and no real sign of oak. The palate is dry, medium-bodied, with fresh lime, grapefruit, a hint of green pepper and wet rock flavors. Still no sign of oak. The alcohol, acidity, finish and complexity are all medium (+). A fairly textbook example of a young, New World, cool climate SB. Drinking very well now, not intended for aging. A very good value at $13 and under.
