Sunday, September 29, 2013 - Burg Blowout (Woodstock, GA): From a bottle with seepage, darker crimson color; nose jumps out of the glass with Burgundy funk, leather, dark cherry, and sweet wood and incense; the palate is ripe though good balance prevails in an extremely difficult vintage, good tannin wrap tells you it's NSG; many of us agreed that this is what we think of when we think of Burgundy; much more powerful and masculine than most of the Burgs today.
