Sunday, November 14, 2021 - Why did I drink so many bottles of this so early? My next to last bottle, and it’s finally starting to come into form at age 20! After years of being blocky and austere, it has developed a suave exterior. An hour after opening the aromatics encompass earth, stone and fruit tones, and the palate glides along with only enough tannins to keep it on track. I would like some more evolution to the aromas, maybe a bit of cedar or leather, but overall it’s delicious and classically Bordeaux. Not so bad for a wine that cost me $25 on release.
