After years of being blocky and austere, it has developed a suave exterior. An hour after opening the aromatics encompass earth, stone and fruit tones, and the palate glides along with only enough tannins to keep it on track. I would like some more evolution to the aromas, maybe a bit of cedar or leather, but overall it’s delicious and classically Bordeaux. Not so bad for a wine that cost me $25 on release.
