Community Tasting Note

Friday, November 11, 2005 - Opened and decanted for an hour. Sweet red and black fruit on the nose. Loose, fat, sloppy, juicy which would best describe it in the mouth? I am not sure but there is no apparent structure in the wine, no finish to speak of. After being opened and in the glass 5 hours there is a remote hint of tannin in the finish not much else has changed. No heat or over ripeness apparent.

The second half of the bottle consumed on day 2 (corked and stored in the cellar) did not change much at all. No weight or structure developed and no diminishment of fruit either, just remained “juicy.”

I am not sure what to make of it, not at all resembling the notes from RP. His note mentions 14.5% alcohol the bottle is labeled 13.5%. I am glad I only bought one to try.
