Sunday, April 16, 2023 - Drinking incredibly well after almost 20 years in the bottle. After all these years, this wine still displays fruit with no flaws. The acid has softened a great deal and integrated into a fairly plush bottle that was surprisingly even. I'm not sure how much longer it will live, it may have gracefully past the end of life. Composite cork, easily removed, 20% saturated. Ruby color with minimal oxidation and good clarity. Consumed over two days. Aromas of pomegranate and caramel. Flavors of cranberry, red cherry, rhubarb, and spice with a medium finish. An ordinary Burgundy in an ordinary year. Probably better with some bottle age. No more in the cellar. A surprising surviver !!
