Friday, January 14, 2022 - Popped and poured. Medium ruby color, slightly cloudy. Nose of smoked meat, dried cherry and plum, slight hint of raisin, and some herbal cough drop notes. Similar flavors on the palate with a nice mix of dried red fruits and savory, meaty notes. Fruit is slightly baked/raisined but wine is in balance with good acidity and not too dried out or hot. I am enjoying this more than I did a few years ago so the extra bottle age helped.
