Monday, June 19, 2017 - Decanted for one hour. Nose is a bit tainted with lots of green pepper and some wet cardboard, but they faded with more time in the glass. Palate is sweet and ripe with good intensity. A bit one dimensional especially when its drank next to 87 opus one and 87 montelena. My previous btl was better.

6/19/2017 10:36:00 AM - I think this is definitely expected bottle variation unfortunately that comes with 30 year old wine. Opened an 87 about a month ago and it drank incredibly youthful and was very dynamic. A 73 Krug that was also opened alongside it had a lot of the notes you stated in your note. Risk/reward I guess! :)
