Saturday, July 5, 2014 - I’m a lover of Fizz, I like it to celebrate, as an aperitif or just because we want to drink some bubbles on the terrace, the only trouble I have is assessing it, for some reason the bubbles and the carbon dioxide seem to confuse my senses and I rarely get past I like or I don’t like, most times I will venture a “mm good” assuming it is of course, and this one got the “mmm it’s good” clean and crisp with hints of peach and apple, beautiful bubbles that lasted well and a hint of citrus at the back which was very pleasant.
I did think it was noticeable that it came from a warmer climate but only in flavour not in dryness which was lip smackingly good, and in a blind test I would have guessed it was a Cava which is one of my faves.
