any of these labels. Purportedly each Daughter has her own label most likely for tax purposes. Combined, total production is believed to be 25,000 bottles, which is 50% less wine than, say, Jacque Selosse produces. Also, while Vintage and Disgorgement dates are not on label, I have been advised by a wine shop in Paris that typically wines are composed of 2, consecutive vintages and not released until 8-10 years later. So, wines are “en tirage” much longer than the typical, trendy, “Grower” champagne, and, thus, allowing Avize richness and complexity to blossom. Amazingly, and fortunately for those of us who have been drinking wines for years, wines have not become en vogue(yet!) like other artisanal Producers such as Marie-Noelle Ledru, for example, which makes them still very much a bargain. And please do not tell anyone...wink, wink.
