Tuesday, May 9, 2006 - i know we are supposed to stick to describing the wine here but forgive me dear readers. can't help but notice an enormous number of viewers of previous reviews in the context of such small bottle ownership. is there a secret society of musar lovers out there somewhere?
also, would love to know which member thinks the wine will live 10 more years. anyway, my bottle was exquisite. the wine maker is a true bordeaux disciple. the cork was pristine with just the slightest penetration of liquid along the shank. some crystal deposits. on initial pour color seemed a little brown but was bright crimson in the glass with just a hint of fading at the rim. fruit has started to turn a little with hints of plum turning to prune. still quite delectable however. i believe it has enough backbone to go another year but would be hesitant to keep much longer than that.
