Saturday, April 18, 2020 - Nice dark red color showing no ageingandno evident tannin crust. Poured into a decanter, the nose shows red fruit and plummy tones, green tobacco and herbs. There is some smoky vanilla oak but it is not overly woody. Quite good sweet merlot fruit on the palate being well balanced and medium bodied. Acid is moderate and light tannins. Pretty good wine from a lesser vintage but lacks complexity and impact on the palate.
