Monday, August 17, 2015 - Popped & poured, showing a bit of age in the color. Aromas of under-ripe cherries, perfumed florals/potpourri, cinnamon and nutmeg. Flavors of cherry, white currants and Chinese five spice, showing more dark fruit as it opens; macerated plum/dark berry qualities. Subtle hints of reduction on the nose and palate are evident on opening and did not blow off, knocking the score down for me.
