Wednesday, October 14, 2020 - Stood up for a week and decanted off fine sediment
Now 1h after decant. Expressive aromas of ripe black and Ranier cherries, concord grapes w a bit of bubblegum, herbs, damp earth and bark. Ripe black and Ranier cherries, a bit of bubblegum, herbs and a hint of earth on palate with a bit of bark on the midpalate. Nice density and concentration w juicy acids to balance all the fruit. Mild tannins on finish. Squarely in the middle between gamay and pinot noir - love Beaujolais at this stage. 92+
