Wednesday, April 23, 2014 - Perfumed black violets and orchids permeating through blackcurrant a and black Plums and black raspberries. Very well extracted fruit with gentle wafts of fruitiness that caresses the palate rather than pounds it like most Aussie shiraZs do. Really surprised by the restraint and refinement this Shiraz is showing. Haven't been impressed by Aussie Shiraz for a long time. Just that bit of spicy licourice kick at the end to let u know it is still predominantly Aussie rather than a Rhone. Oh how 4 years had been , this improved by leaps and bounds. At it's prime now.
