Monday, July 11, 2016 - Decanted for about two hours prior to drinking. The wine is almost black in the glass. Not a huge nose and my first taste impression was vanilla. Not particularly fruity but i was not expecting that. Very smooth in terms of flavor and mouth feel. My overall impression is a very elegant wine with subdued flavors. My dinner guests, who tasted it blind, did not think it was an Aussie Shiraz. I was not blown away by this wine but enjoyed it very much. It will be interesting to see how it continues to evolve over time.
