Sunday, August 6, 2017 - Very dark purple color with a bouquet and flavor of very ripe purple plums or maybe pluots, with some added boysenberry and hints of chocolate, but no pepper. Surprisingly acidic, which marred the balance somewhat, but the acid dissipated with airing. Some nuance in evidence, with a fairly long finish. More complex than its sister bottles drunk several years ago. Interesting wine and not completely typical of a Syrah.
