Monday, January 15, 2018 - A classy Riesling
Perfect balance and good racyness. A lot of minerality coming from the slate.

But after a few minutes in the glass the pear turns into quince and honey. Stays firm as long an it is cold but if it turns a few degrees warmer it gets wider and a bit botritys turns out.

Not really disappointed but a little bit. Any other vintage is stronger (expect 2012)
Better drink now than later

    1/17/2018 1:57:00 PM - Will be interesting to see how it will develop over time. I‘m not as pessimistic as you are although you have way more experience. But Halenbergs from cooler vintages haven’t disappointed me yet.
