Saturday, March 19, 2005 - Drank a bottle early to see what the fuss is all about. Undeniably going to be a monster. Impenetrable black ink, tons of fruit but balanced by earth. After decanting for an hour, virtually no change. This is quite young. I'll leave the decanter for the night and try some tomorrow. A great wine requiring some time in the cellar. 95+?

Update...24 hours later, no sign of oxidation and the wine is still pretty closed. Powerful, well structured, and in need of a couple of years, easily. But a fantastic wine if we can wait it out!
