Sunday, November 10, 2019 - My wife's favorite wine and neither she nor any of the others at dinner were disappointed.

Others have eloquently noted the great fruit balance. On this bottle, that showed after a 90-minute decant. At first, there was an effervescence that made me wonder if it had gone bad. This resolved after the decant, revealing all that lush fruit flavor. Perhaps a bit of residual heat on the mid-palate, but not enough to interrupt the enjoyment of this excellent wine. Not quite as full-bodied as other vintages (or other Saxum varietals/blends).
