Sunday, July 19, 2020 - This also opened up and grew on me a little after 30 minutes of air; blackberry, juicy, fruity, compost, a touch sweet pinot noir sort of strawberry note, light silky mouthfeel with high alcohol (15.8%); pretty good structure, ample fine tannins, decent Mod+ acid. Despite the alcolhol I liked this for its elegance (yes, elegant, even at this high octane!). The sweet Pinot fruit screams grenache, but only 42%, with 29 Mourvedre, 19% Syrah, 10 Counoise. Roger's Central Coast Syrah tasting.
